Howdy folks this is a followup on an inquiry someone private messaged me about a little while back. I am trudging my way through to find a direct answer. Just taking somebody's word doesn't cut it for me. The question was what are the specific qualifications to run for the town board. I will speak to the situation but I will be vague nor will I say everything I know about the situation so as not to identify the individual unless they so choose to reveal themselves. The issue is they live just outside the city limits. They are in the Highland School District and they have a Highland mailing address. They were informed they were not qualified to run for city council. I have made a couple contacts that ultimately led me to this PDF file. I have yet to go over it but I wanted to provide it here for all of you immediately. I was told by the Illinois State Board of Elections this covers all of it.
